This buyer was an investor from the beginning. He was a close friend of my in-laws and he was a landscaper. He just wanted to buy a home in Bloomington, MN. That's where we focused the most. I met this couple at an open house I did in Burnsville, MN. They walked in and was just looking around. I started to make conversation with them and they were very pleasant. The guy was veteran and he knew about the VA loan. I told him about some other great loan programs that our company offers. They found out more about it and later found out that there was another loan program that was better than the VA. I helped them signed up for the first-time homebuyer class. They were just in the beginning stages of their search. They really wanted to stay in Burnsville because they both worked in Burnsville. I sent them a lot of homes so they can start looking at them. After a few showings, we did made some offers. We got one offer to accept and my buyers were so excited. They still currently lived in Burnsville.

I met this couple from a requested showing on-line. I met them at the house, build rapport, and started a working relationship. I knew they wanted to stay in Brooklyn Park or Brooklyn Center and that's where we focused the majority of our time. After awhile we did find the one that we liked and got our offer accepted. This couple was really was very persistent and determine to buy a house. I worked night and day until we found a house that they both liked.
"We had been thinking about buying a home for a while, but we feared that real estate agents would take advantage of us for our lack of knowledge about real estate. This summer, we decided that we would start looking, because we didn't want to wait any longer. We met with a couple of real estate agents, and they seemed to be pushy and talked to us like we did not know anything about real estate, which we didn't, but at least I had read a lot about it. This left me to believe that none of the real estate agents are honest. However, when we met Phong, he seemed to be very patient—meaning he's not pushy like a few agents that we met before—he did not ask us to sign with him even after he showed us about 20 houses. We liked his approach of serving inexperience (first time home buyers) like us. He was not just showing us the home, but he also helped to point out potential problems with the homes that we were not looking at. That made us trust him and choosing him to be our real estate agent. We then found our first house, which we liked, but there was a minor issue with the deck—the deck was a little rotten and he was willing to pay a contractor to fix up the deck. Phung and Due are my wife's cousin. For awhile Phung and Due lived with his mom. They had wanted to buy a house for awhile but really wasn't quite ready to make that leap. Tony is a new beginner investor. He had never bought any investment property before so he was nervous about it. He had some extra money and wanted to try and invest some of the money in real estate. I told him that I can help find the house, do the mortgage and find him a tenant. He was estatic that I could help him out with all three phases. He knew that I had a few rental properties in Bloomington, MN. He asked me where we should buy and of course, I said Bloomington. I told him that Bloomington is centrally located and there's always demand for rentals and we shouldn't have any problems renting it out. We went out the first day and looked at 10 properties. We liked only one and made an offer on that one and we got it accepted. I held his hand through the whole process and I didn't pressure him into anything. I explained everything to him so he could fully understand what was going on. When the closing day came, I went to the bank with him and got a cashier's check. Buying my first home was a little scary, while talking with friends and family I knew that it would be important to pick a realtor with my best interests in mind.
Having talked to many realtors throughout the purchase process, nobody came close to Phong regarding his sincere efforts in walking me through the steps of becoming a homeowner.
Phong works fast and efficiently while always keeping my best interest in mind. Many realtors out there simply won't take the time or make the effort to make a buying experience this pleasant for first time home buyer on the lower end of the budget. I recommend that all first time home buyers who are looking for an affordable place with great potential to contact Phong. It seems like he simply has certain houses on his radar that others don't.
